The not-so-daily dish.

I GOT A KITTEN!!!!! I just thought I would express my rediculous happiness and get it out of the way right away. Her mother was hit by a car, and a friend of mine scooped her up. She couldn't keep her, and I was DESPERATELY wanting a kitten. So she is mine now. Her name is Cabela, and I've never met a cuter, funnier kitten in my life. AND SHE KNOWS HOW TO USE A LITTER BOX. Win all around, if I do say so myself. The only downside is the fact that I have a subconcious habit of shaking my foot, and she thinks it is an invitation to unleash holy hell on my little piggies.

So the job at Pacsun is going well. The only problem is the fact that I am getting absolute SHIT for hours. 2 days a week is all I have been working lately. Laaammme. Especially because they are only 5 hour shifts. So I am out looking for another, or possibly completely different, job. Uggghh.

My friend Mike if going to be moving in with me and Eric this weekend. So that is a relief. It will be much easier for the 3 of us to pay for the place instead of just me and Eric. Who knows, we might actually be able to afford CABLE! ....And a new stove. But cable first. I have priorities. Regular season football has officially kicked off, and I missed my Chiefs play their first game because Monday Night Football is on ESPN. Laaamme.

Oh, and just for the record, I consider myself a hero to amphibians of all kinds. I saved this MASSIVE toad from the jaws of Lyle and Sydney a few days ago. Being they are springer spaniels, they have this irrisistable urge to kill anything that moves. Sad. But anywhoser, I was in the barn brushing Ruby when I noticed the dogs were going after something in the tall portion of the grass. So I tied Ruby up and went out to take a look, only to find this HUGE fucking toad laying there belly up, puffed out and pretending to be dead. I shooed the dogs off and picked him up. He was bleeding decently, so I scooped him up and brought him to the water trough and poured some water on him to wash the blood off and see where he was bleeding from. It was from his mouth. I don't know if it was internal bleeding, or if he just had a puncture wound somewhere in his mouth, but either way as soon as I started washing him up and petting him, he was slowly starting to get more and more active. I brought him to the backyard, which is fenced in so the devil dogs couldn't get him, mind you, and set him down on the ground. He sat there for a couple seconds and then hopped off underneath the fence and out into the bean field. So I am assuming he was relatively fine, and felt like I had done a very good deed for the day :)

Ooh, forgot to mention that Cabela also has some weird obsession with walking ALL over the keyboard, occasionally laying down right on top of my hands. Like what just happened a few seconds ago. Also, Sergeant, Eric's german shepherd, is going in for surgery on Thursday to fix his knee. He basically tore his ACL and generally fucked his shit up. It's a $2000 surgery, and his uncle was kind enough to pay for it in full. Thank God there's still good people out there.

It's time I get to bed. Night night :)
